Tai Chi, Earth and Reflection
- A focussed Tai Chi retreat integrating time for meditation and reflection, gardening and community living.
Starts Sunday, October 17th 2010 at 16:00 The Barn Retreat Centre, Sharpham, near Totnes, Devon.
The principles of Tai Chi embody balance, harmony and understanding of ourselves, others and our environment. On this special course leading teacher Matthew Rochford will lead three and a half hours of Tai Chi practice a day - basing his teaching on the lineage of Cheng Man Ching through his teachers Patrick Kelly and Luke Shepherd. This method of working with the body and mind includes the 5 Loosening Exercises, The Short Form and Partner Exercises - all of which are designed to enhance the mind body connection and access a deeper level of awareness.
Everyone is welcome.
Typical day. The normal Barn schedule will be adjusted as follows:
6.50-7.30am meditation
8am breakfast
9-11am Tai Chi
11- 1pm Gardening, work, cooking, free time.
1pm Lunch
3.30-5pm Tai Chi
Evening - cooking your own supper
8pm meditation
Cost £275 per person, all food and accommodation included. Deposit £140.
